Right now I am....Sipping coffee. The cooler temperatures had me searching for slippers this morning.
Thinking....I need to stop at the market to pick up more coffee. I won't have any for tomorrow morning and that is never any fun.
On my reading pile....I just read a book called The Winter Garden which I chose out of one of those little libraries in people's yards. It was very good...but very sad.
On my TV.....I really enjoy Restoration Road with Clint Harp.
Something fun to share....
On the menu for this week....I have some winter squash I want to roast, homemade pizza, I am going to my daughter's Friendsgiving this weekend and I plan on making a harvest roast to bring along with some pumpkin pie.
On my to do list....Cooking for this weekend and putting the air conditioner away. I've been procrastinating about that.
Looking forward to this week....the end of the Halloween madness in Salem, MA. I have to drive through it on my way home from work every day. It attracts so many tourists that the streets are just clogged with pedestrians and it lasts from the middle of September till Halloween night.
Looking around the house....I spent some time this weekend putting away the few Halloween things I had out and setting out a few Thanksgiving things. It looks pretty in here.
From the camera....I made a Thanksgiving tree. I had an felted leaf tree that I picked up at Target a few years ago. I put some battery operated lights on it and hung a few small things that tell stories of some of my loved ones. It looks very pretty.
On my prayer list.....My sister and my husband who deal with chronic pain and my brother. Today is his birthday. Also, those who have been affected by the terrible violence last week. Maine is very close to me and I have family and loved ones who live in the state.
Bible verse, Devotional....
Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20

Your tree is so unique and pretty. Take care with the air conditioner removal!! Go slowly. Will you get many trick-or treaters?
ReplyDeleteYour Thanksgiving tree is delightful. I like the idea of hanging things on it that remind you of your loved ones. Homemade pizza sounds delicious. And the roast and pumpkin pie will be a nice meal for the Friendsgiving. Yes, better go get some coffee. The mornings just aren't the same without a hot cup of coffee. I hope the family you mentioned are free from pain. I don't like to see people suffer.
ReplyDeleteHappy November days. I put my Fall stuff away and will decorate for Christmas soon. I know, it's early, but I love Christmas. ; )
