The pumpkins are here

 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Both of my daughters, my son-in-law and all three grandchildren went to the pumpkin walk over the weekend. Oh my goodness, so much fun! So many jack-o-lanterns!

I treated my family to a pumpkin walk! We saw hundreds of Jack-o-lanterns

and had such a great time!

~

Saturday we got together at my daughter's house for some Jack-o-lantern carving of our own.

So much fun!

This year Verne carved his own pumpkin for the very first pumpkin!

He used a safety pumpkin carving knife.

I spent time at home on Sunday and was able to putter around my house a bit.

I picked up a new chair at Saver's. I love that little sun symbol.

I used it as a inspiration for my pumpkin.

I found a secret way through Salem so I don't have to drive through the throngs of tourists

on my way home from work!

There are no words or pictures to say how happy this makes me!

Just a few more days and then Halloween will be over for another year.

  1. You had a great weekend with your family! I'm glad they were able to come visit.
Yay for finding a 'shortcut' to and from work. Honestly, saving that time really is something to be thankful for.
    Happy Pumpkin time!

  2. Looks like a fun time at the pumpkin walk. I do love the pumpkin patches every year, and was able to go this year with the family. I really like the picture of the girls taken at an angle, such a cool way to take a picture. I love your table setting, and the long table runner is so pretty. I mentioned that in your previous post, but I don't think the comment went through. It looks like such a charming space here in your home. Verne's having fun carving the pumpkin!

Wishing you very good November days.

  5. Yay for the short cut through Salem. We were there the last weekend of October once when we had been visiting Courtney at Gordon COllege and WOWZA the TRAFFIC!! We didn't even do the normal touristy stuff....we preferred spending time in some little art museum Peabody something?? i think i'm remembering part of the name correctly. We did have fun walking around though despite the crowds!!

LOVE your new chair and the sun design.

We are very much alike!! Would love to meet you in person sometime!!

  6. The pumpkin walk sounds like so much fun! We missed our pumpkin carving this year due to Jim not feeling well before his surgery.

    The chair is cute!

That's great to find a route away from the tourist areas.
