Happy birthday Verne!

Verne's birthday party!
~
Little miss Natalie told me all about the three blow-up Halloween things in their front yard...
but this little tree stump jack-o-lantern guy was her favorite. This one got a hug!

I recently read Life in Five Senses by Gretchen Rubin. Great read!
She has inspired me to pay more attention to my five senses throughout the week.
This week I've searched out the colour blue.
These well loved blue wellies were hanging on the playground fence at work.
To me they tell a story about a young child who did some puddle stomping!
~
My daughter got a new puppy! Her name is Violet and she is a gentle little soul.
The children love her!
She still needs some house training though.
Glad I have a cat.

My older daughter, Hannah, was at Verne's birthday party so I got to spend a little time with her as well.
That made me very happy.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Verne.
ReplyDeleteOh the puppy is so cute!!
That is the cutest picture of Natalie with the blow up tree in her yard. And I love that picture of the blue boots on the fence. Such a cute picture of Verne also. I'm glad you got to visit with your daughters, that's always nice. Hannah looks like she's pondering about something. Love that picture, by the way. ; )

ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post. Happy birthday to Verne, the new puppy looks adorable as does Natalie hugging the blow up figure for Halloween. Sounds like a day to remember with good memories.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Verne! it's been fun watching your grandchildren grow up on the pages of this blog.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the sound of that book. I am going to see if our library has it! I"m all about embracing the senses...especially out in God's creation/nature. I'm leading a meditative walk tomorrow AM with some church ladies and it's supposed to rain. I told them we are walking anyways! It will be good for them. :)
Have a happy weekend!
Ps cute dog. And your oldest daughter looks just like you!! so pretty
My grandson likes blow-up figures like that, too. He has a scarecrow and a ghost and I forget what else. Those blue boots are so cute. Glad you got to spend time with your daughters!
