For as in one body we have many parts, and all the parts do not have the same function,

so we, though many, are one body in Christ and individually parts of one another.

Romans 12:4-5

Here in New England,Autumn and particularly October, is a miraculously beautiful time.

Each individual leaf bursts forth into bright and beautiful colour…red, yellow, orange, green, brown.

One could spend days and days admiring each single leaf. But when viewed from above or when driving down a forested road…when seen as a whole…

It is absolutely stunning.

I think of this as how God may see us.

  1. Beautiful, together or individually.

  2. I love being God's foliage!
It's been a strange, slow advance of the color this year, but breathtaking as always.

  3. So true, we are all colorful in different ways with different gifts from God. Where I am in Ohio, it has been more like Summer weather and the trees' leaves aren't so pretty yet. But, I think by end of month, hopefully the colors will explode to cinnamon varieties. Love this time of year, but don't like what comes after so much as I've aged. Have great week.

  4. This Scripture was part of our small group lesson this morning. Each of us is valued and worthy as part of the Body of Christ, each of us needed to make it whole. And it's achingly beautiful as a whole, as you said. Lovely photo.

  5. That is such a pretty photo of the leaves. The reddish leaves and the turquoise fence
are a nice contrast. We are in the middle of Autumn here too, and when I drive
down the main mountain road, I am still seeing the leaves changing colors, so
    the season isn't finished yet. : )
