For all flesh is like grass,

And all its glory like the flower of the field;

The grass withers and the flower wilts;

But the word of the Lord remains forever

  1. Goldenrod always makes me painfully aware of the passing of summer and of ALL. Things.

    Did you SEE my notice that THRIVE conference has been canceled? I'm so disappointed. I do hope you get to visit with your sister that weekend, but sorry not to have the opportunity to meet you!

  2. This verse reminds me of Isaiah 40:8 which was painted on the wall on either side of the altar in the church where I grew up. Autumn is the perfect time to remember this verse as we see nature all around fading. Grateful His Word will never fade and will stand the test of all time. Blessings!

  7. Oh my goodness, I see these same flowering plants all around here, and I was
    going to do a post on Monday asking if anyone could identify them. They look
    very much like the ones I see at the creek.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
