Reflections of my life
A mirror in the living room is always a nice touch.
Be aware of where you hang it, however. You always want it to reflect the best view.
I have recently hung this old mirror in place of a different one that I gave to my daughter, Hannah.
We have one window and one windowed door in our small living room and the mirror reflects the light
And view from the window in the door. The door faces a westerly direction so we see the sunset colours
Not only through that window but also reflected in the mirror. It bathes the room in beautiful light.
This mirror is quite old and the glass has begun to silver just a little bit.
I’m quite fond of that look.
I also like that the mirror reflects the little conversation area in our living room.
It makes the area seem larger and brighter.
The frame is interesting and substantial so that the mirror is a piece of artwork.
Do you decorate with mirrors?

It makes this part of your room beautiful! light, airy, and artistic. We have a gorgeous big mosiac mirror in our dark hall, I will have to post it.
ReplyDeletei picked up an old mirror off the side of the road last week in a little free pile. i'm going to be keeping your wise words in mind as I choose a place to hang it.
ReplyDeleteBut first ... lots of white paint and then a real good sanding.

What a lovely mirror! We do decorate with mirrors in our house. I love them! I have one in our front hallway that was in my house when I was growing up, and in my parents homes until they passed away. I love all the memories it has stored inside it, and I'm comforted by all the happy memories it has 'seen'. Thank you for sharing and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Link Party Community. I hope you are having a wonderful week!
