rhythm of a simple home
I stumbled across this wonderful candle in the clearance section of my local home store.
It does take up quite a bit of space in my tiny apartment but it smells of peony and it’s so pretty.
Even when it’s not burning the melted wax looks like a flower.
We have just one window in the kitchen
Spider plant clippings currently take up the space on the window sill. Charming and filled with hope for the spring that will be here in just a few short months.
This is the view out beyond our kitchen window.
The harbor is just beyond the last house you see looking forward and you can see it from the living room and bedroom windows.
Sunrise illuminates the kitchen though and the room fills with coloured sunlight as I sit to drink my coffee.
Glimmers of pink, yellow, and orange glow on the walls around me and I am happy to sit quietly in my small kitchen and observe the beginning of day.

ReplyDeleteTo me, this sunrise is God calling "I am HERE!" The candle is so beautiful, and reminds me more of a lotus. I love your cabinets and that pretty teal chair.
ReplyDeleteThe peacefulness of sitting and waiting is contagious. Thank you!
