Walking wild
Lichen, moss, and fungi all growing together on an old fallen tree trunk.
You can see that there are plenty of pines in the area as well.
This little fella was a bit closer to home.
He was sitting in the planter box eating the red winter berries.
It didn’t bother him at all that we were standing just inside the doorway.
He never even paused in his nibbling.

Pretty....
ReplyDeleteThe first picture is so unusual! Cute squirrel; the ones aorund here are so bold!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little visitor. Saw one yesterday scurrying through the yard, but he didn't stop for a visit. Always fun to see what's growing in an area.
ReplyDeletesquirrels gather under our bird feeder but it's one from LLBean that has weight settings so even if they figure out how to climb up the pole they can't reach the bird seed as the weight of them "drops" down the little door. But they do enjoy scavenging around underneath what woodpeckers and cardinals drop. fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteLoving you fascinating photos as always! Your visitor is too cute!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
I didn't know you had a link party. Love the squirrel!
ReplyDeleteThe second picture looks like a alligator! Cute little squirrel too busy eating to be bothered by anything else! Those must be some tasty berries!
ReplyDeleteSome people despise squirrels. I find them charming, in an odd sort of way..
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome shots of nature!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are a part of 'My Corner of the World' this week!
