And David said to Abigail, blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel

who sent you this day to meet me.

Blessed be your discretion and blessed be you,

who have kept me this day from bloodguilt

and from working salvation with my own hand!

1 Samuel 25:32-33

  2. Oh my, is that the littlest granddauther. How she has grown. She's so pretty. Working salvation for my own, I fear I do that often. Blessed be you. :)

  3. I never noticed those words in the story of David and Abigail before-"working salvation with my own hand." I've too often tried to be the "fixer" of people and situations so those words convict me.

  4. Abigail was quite the clever lady, and God used her wisdom to give David time to calm down!
