I love the daffodils

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

March brings breezes loud and shrill

Stirs the dancing daffodil.

Spring will arrive this month though there is snow on the ground 

and more expected as I type.

In the field leading to the wooded path

I can see footsteps in the snow

and just beyond a neighbor walks a new puppy.

It will melt straight away though....

We will have dancing daffodils ~

if not this month then next.

and then there will be jars of cheery yellow on the kitchen table

in the morning sunshine.

Spring is full of hope and that is my favourite part.
