And David said, "The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness,

and his faithfulness, for the Lord gave you into my hand today,

and I would not put out my hand against the Lord's anointed.

Behold, as your life was precious in my sight,

so may my life be precious in the sight of the Lord,

and may he deliver me out of all tribulation.

1 Samuel 26:23-24

But I say to you who hear, love your enemies...

Be merciful even as your father is merciful

Luke 6:27, 36

  2. David was one of my favorite reads in the Bible as well as Solomon. Have a great week. We are precious in his sight. Amen.

  3. I'm teaching the life of David to a classroom of four year olds, and I never cease to be amazed at all the twists and turns. Obviously, this little episode is not included in the curriculum, but I could sure make a case for it, given how early kids need to learn to forgive and handle conflict.

  4. A beautiful verse. Is this church near you, maybe it is your church? Now I want to see more of it.
