Family Friday

This little pumpkin turned 2!

Saturday night Joe and I went out to dinner to celebrate the birthday of a very old friend.

Joe's known him for over 50 years!

It was great to see people we hadn't seen in such a long time.

Bittersweet grows along the grassy dunes across the street

I gathered some to add to the basket on our front door.

It's so pretty.

I love this time of year.

Wednesday evening there was a workshop at work that I was attending. I get out at 3:30

but it didn't start till 6:30 so I went out exploring around Beacon Hill.

It's one of my very favorite places...especially in the fall and early winter.

One of my favorite parts of the week was being able to get a picture of

both of my daughters and my grandson and me!

We are all so very busy it's not often we all get together and remember to take a picture.

Please feel free to add a link to your family friday post.

It's great that you have the option to walk in a place you love--a good way to 'wait' for a meeting.

  6. How fun to have a post devoted to family. This makes this entry like a scrapbook page. And it is even complete with a photo of your girls, grandson and you. I often forget to take photos of the adults, and so am especially pleased when I do.

How fun that you got to explore so that the late start to your meeting wasn't a bother. Love the fall line drawing.

I didn't know what bittersweet looked like, so I googled it. Quite pretty.

    Have a lovely week.

  8. Happy Birthday to your little pumpkin. What a special picture of you and your daughters. I hope you frame it sometime. : ) I know what you mean about getting together, and when we do, it seems we forget to take a picture.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
