Family Friday

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

This little pumpkin turned 2!

Saturday night Joe and I went out to dinner to celebrate the birthday of a very old friend.

Joe's known him for over 50 years!

It was great to see people we hadn't seen in such a long time.

Bittersweet grows along the grassy dunes across the street

I gathered some to add to the basket on our front door.

It's so pretty.

I love this time of year.

Wednesday evening there was a workshop at work that I was attending. I get out at 3:30

but it didn't start till 6:30 so I went out exploring around Beacon Hill.

It's one of my very favorite places...especially in the fall and early winter.

One of my favorite parts of the week was being able to get a picture of

both of my daughters and my grandson and me!

We are all so very busy it's not often we all get together and remember to take a picture.

Please feel free to add a link to your family friday post.

  1. It is so good to see you. You and your family are beautiful! I don't know what Bittersweet looks like, but I love the name.

  2. How fun to walk around Beacon Hill...i haven't been there since 2015!! I need to change that!! And yay for the be,I've done Red Sox going to the World Series! My hubby is happy!!!

  3. Happy birthday to Verne! So nice you got together with both daughters and Verne and got a picture of you all.

Love the picture of you and Joe, and his imitation of the photos behind you.

  4. What a lovely pictures of your family! Happy Birthday to the little one!
It's great that you have the option to walk in a place you love--a good way to 'wait' for a meeting.
    Enjoy your weekend!

  5. What a lovely family pictures. The birthday photo is perfect! I would love to visit Beacon Hill. Someday I will make it to the northeast!

  6. How fun to have a post devoted to family. This makes this entry like a scrapbook page. And it is even complete with a photo of your girls, grandson and you. I often forget to take photos of the adults, and so am especially pleased when I do.

How fun that you got to explore so that the late start to your meeting wasn't a bother. Love the fall line drawing.

I didn't know what bittersweet looked like, so I googled it. Quite pretty.

    Have a lovely week.

  7. Beautiful pic of you and your daughters and grandson! And you and your hubby too. A friend of 50 years! That is amazing!

  8. Happy Birthday to your little pumpkin. What a special picture of you and your daughters. I hope you frame it sometime. : ) I know what you mean about getting together, and when we do, it seems we forget to take a picture.
