9 March

This what my neighborhood looked like on Saturday...

and Sunday, and Monday and Tuesday, and most of Wednesday.

They had to bring in the big pumps from the state to finally clear it all out.

The big body of water that you are looking at is not supposed to be water!

It's my street, a parking lot, and a ball field!

My sister got good news about her cancer!

The results from the PET/CAT scan were good!

Thank God.

We were so fortunate that our house didn't flood

but we did get enough water in the basement to knock out the water heater.

The landlord has one on order but, as you can imagine,

they are in pretty scarce supply around here.

So....we have no hot water...I would so dearly love a hot shower.

Wednesday afternoon when I came home from work they had cleared up

most of our street....

Just in time for another snowstorm on Thursday!

You can see the snow plastered against the window at my desk.

We didn't get too much snow though.

I found a new yogurt that I like at the market.

It comes in a sweet little glass jar.

And, Tucker seems to like it too.

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about all the troubles you're having in your part of the country. Those pictures are just unreal. I can't imagine going without hot water for very long. Such a sweet little kitty you have there! And that yogurt in the glass jar is adorable, too.

  2. My inlaws on the south shore of MA had lots of wind and water damage as well. Lets pray that this is the end of the storms!!

praise God for a good report on behalf of your sister.

    Have a good weekend

  4. Oh my goodness that is a lot of water. But you do live in a gorgeous area! So glad for the good report for your sister. Hope you've got your water heater by now (it's Tuesday as I type this). I've never seen that yogurt though we do have yoplait here. Maybe we'll get it soon.
