leftover lovin'...

There's lots of goodies in the house today

but I don't normally eat sugar...

so as fun as it is to have...I will take a few pictures of all that pretty yumminess

and then give it all away.

Dining rooms are strange places...

Part kitchen, part living room

-part whatever else a family needs the room for...

I have a beautiful old wooden table which I use for a desk in mine.

It's in a corner of the dining room between two beautiful windows

and I can see all the world while I sit.

Also, we have the dining room table and a few extra chairs

for when we pull out the leaves in the table when company comes.

And, there's a sideboard with two drawers that an old friend of the family made,

and my great, great, grandmother's Victorian carved bench.

But, the picture above is of the built in cabinet...

four shelves and three drawers and each item has a story.

Dining rooms are places where stories are told...

old folks gathered round the table long after dinner is over

laughing and talking and reminiscing.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
