The scents of fresh blueberry muffins filled the kitchen...

and we had muffins for breakfast all week!

Quick and easy to grab on the go...and delicious.

Joe and I have noticed that the sun is setting just a little bit later.

We caught a glimpse of it on our way home from work

one day last week!

Saturday I went up to visit with Verne and his parents.

We did some shopping at Wal-Mart and a few other places.

I wanted to check out an Aldi's market that is up their way.

But the best part was that I got to play with Verne.

Joe and I met my mum for dinner in town the other night.

She took the train from Connecticut where she was visiting my sister.

We met her after work, grabbed a bite to eat, and then drove her home.

The food was great at Kinsale, which is just next door to my work.

Monday was a holiday from work!

So we stayed home and relaxed.

  1. Verne is adorable...I can almost smell the blueberry muffins! Happy Friday!

  2. Love the blueberry muffin image!

  3. I need those muffins to make my house smell amazing!

  4. Sounds like a lovely few days you have had! Always so nice to visit with family, and cozy days at home are wonderful too! Those blueberry muffins look delicious :)

  5. Sounds like a lovely week...and Vern is getting so big!! What a cutie!

  6. Sounds like a great start to the day at your house! That little guy's smile is worth a million bucks!

  7. Spending time with grandkids is always a bonus.

  8. Blueberry muffins: yum!
    Playing with Verne: the best!
I'm glad you had a quiet day (last) Monday!

  9. Oh that Verne has the most charming expression. Nice that you got to have dinner with your mom.
