Over the weekend I picked up some yellow flowers
and I've been enjoying them dancing in the sunlight
over the kitchen table as I drink my morning tea

Max the Wonder Dog
My son-in-law's dog Max died on Monday
He was 14 year's old and had lived a good life...
very sad though and he will be greatly missed
Family dogs are missed as old uncles or aunts are
we speak of them as if they were grand old characters in our families
and we remember them long into our old age...
My mum still remembers how her father would send their dog, Buttons,
up onto her bed in the morning.

sunrise after Stella
Tuesday we had a mega-storm Stella come in....
We were spared much of the snow they called for
What we got was very high coastal tides, ferocious winds,
and very low temps

ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day! Love yellow -- such a happy color! Max was a very handsome guy. I know he will be missed. Fur babes are important members of the family. If they could talk!!! Glad Stella was kind to you. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteAch! Max the Wonder Dog will certainly be missed . . .
ReplyDeleteYour Photos are Gorgeous!
I'm sorry about your son's dog. Ours lived for about 14 years, too, and even though I'm not much of a pet person, I still mourned her. They do tie in to many family memories.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the snow missed you! Hopefully it will feel more like spring soon.

I'm glad you were spared the brunt of the storm. We had some snow and high winds but didn't suffer any damage. Enjoy your weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day to you too!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you were relieved to miss the majority of the snow and it sounds like even the high winds and surf didn't cause much damage. Hopefully, this will be the last big storm of the season for you.
I'm sorry to hear about your son in law's dog-- I hope for comfort to him.
