V is for Verne
My sweet baby grandson in his first snow
It is a grandmothers that our mothers
come into the fullness of their grace.

~
There is something so sweet and tender about watching
my daughter and son-in-law
begin their little family.
~
I always knew I would love Verne.
I loved him with a grandmother's love even while he was swimming around
in my daughter's womb.
What I didn't know before I became a grandmother,
what I couldn't really have imagined,
is how wonderful it would be to see my daughter with her own child.
To know that she understands a mother's love.
To feel her wonder and joy at each new accomplishment Verne makes.
And, at the same time to remember feeling that same
wonder and joy when she made those accomplishments.
My greatest memories, the best part of my life, my most powerful love,
was becoming a mother and raising my children.
I would give them all of my heart, I would give them the very best of everything,
and now I know that one of my most loved children
has a love like that herself.
My cup runneth over.
how adorable... so cute.... you are a rich woman!
