Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

To everything there is a season

and a time for every matter under heaven

a time to be born and a time to die

a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted

~ ~ ~

The first time I heard these words they were in a song sung by Pete Seeger.

Life has battered and bruised and dented me since then.

It's also blessed me with boundless joy.

Now I read these words in an old and tattered ESV bible

and they mean so much more than I ever could have imagined.

  1. Such a gorgeous photo! I also love the truth and comfort in that scripture. The hard seasons don't last forever!

  3. So true of life, that scripture. Love the photo you're sharing it with. Love how the Master paints the Fall season...and even when we are covered with snow, it is like he is cleaning the earth. Happy Sunday

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
