new year - new calendar

Our neighbor and old friend died in September

He was 81 and had lived a good life.

I had helped him plant red geraniums in the yard

every year for the last 3 years.

This is one of the plants I dug up just after he died.

I don't normally have geraniums bloom at Christmas tide

It's nice to know he's smiling down on us.

Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
