I met my mother for breakfast the other morning
and we spent some time at the town landing
watching the harbor

The boys and I had a huge squirt gun fight in the park of an afternoon
I suppose you might say that Joey lost because he was the wettest of us all
I'm sure he considered himself the winner though

We watched JAWS on Wednesday night.
One of my favorite movies of all times.
I watch it almost every year about this time.

Lucky you to have a mother who is still alive! Colorful post, and I love the photo of the two row boats!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Your captures are very unique too! Especially the watercolor view.
ReplyDeleteThose boats make a very contemplative image.
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely charming site! I'm so glad you came by to say 'hi' this week. And that you're on a tiny island is so compelling, for I am just moving to Cape Cod even as we speak.
ReplyDeleteMay this weekend bring you joy!
Sounds like a great week! So fun that you had a water gun fight with your boys! :) The harbor looks wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the combination of your day's events and your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteInteresting how that boat "dimples" has curved sides ( ) like dimples. Do you think that's how it got it's name?
ReplyDeleteThe harbor visit and the walk in the gloaming sound so peaceful. And how nice to be able to meet with your mom.
ReplyDeleteSo far I have never seen Jaws. :-)
My boys used to love water guns when they were younger.
Hello, this is my first visit to your blog. I like the poetry and sensibility of yours words and photos. :-)

What a lovely collection of simple pleasures. Beach at the gloaming sounds utterly delicious.
ReplyDeleteI would love all your beach and harbor fun too as I love the beach. Enjoy your week!

Great post! I love that last image (watercolour or edited photo?).
