automatic
every spring i walk down the path through the wood
to find brand new green shoots bursting out of trees and branches
automatic
every day i see the tide changing
on the beach
the sun sets, the stars sparkle, the earth spins
automatic
we are specks of stardust
these are the days are that matter
not how things were in the past,
or how they may be in the future
but what we do this very day
as we open our hearts and our eyes
and step from our front doors

ReplyDeleteWonderful sentiment. Magnificent beauty in this post.
ReplyDeleteI do some of those same things automatically too -- looking for green shoots in the spring, monitoring the tide (though not every day). Your wave photo today is lovely. You caught the moment of spray and the light coming in from behind. Love it.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you've found a peek of spring! And, yes, the certainty of the changing tides, one of the things I love best about the ocean.
ReplyDeleteGreat images. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteIs it ok if I sit down by your side, quietly, and just fell the wind and the water?
