3 January
present
the gift of a new day
with which we are blessed every 24 hours
how will we make use of it
I plan on being present
and mindful
in each new day of
2015
and here are a few other random tidbits
last night I walked the beach
the lights on the mainland were so clear and bright
in the winter sky
~
we have the boys with us during the school break
and plan on walking through the wood and up
onto the high cliffs today
~
the morning sky is streaked with colors
pink and purple and mauve
it makes being present in this day easy
~
boys eat a very lot of food
and one must be constantly at the ready
for second breakfast's
of pancakes and bacon
and elvenses of banana bread and clementines
not to mention lunches and dinners
and perhaps a snack or two between times
~
I miss random 5 friday
so I've decided to do a serendipity Saturday here...
join me if you like
it's often nice to have a sort of accounting
of nothing very important whatsoever
What a wonderful way to start 2015!It does sound as if those boys share some characteristics with hobbits though. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
One should live in present. Can't do anything from the pass, except to learn form it. The future will be the future.
ReplyDeleteHope 2015 brings you plenty of blessings.
Coffee is on
I agree with being mindful and present. It was not until I became serious ill that I learned that lesson. Happy 2015 :)
ReplyDeleteMy "present" post
I always adore your simplicity.
ReplyDeleteHappy PhotoHunting in the New Year!
I love the idea of striving to be present each and every day, much more easily said than done. And ... I love the idea of Serendipity Saturday! When do we begin?
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of the nothing very important whatsoever. It's my favourite sort of post to read.
