3 October

the last of september was an Indian summer weekend

so we went for a last trip to the quarries

but the brambleberry vines climbing the pine trees

were yellow and orange

and the water was cooler than it had been

when we got home we closed all the windows

in the fading sunlight

  4. What a beautiful work of art! Our fall is nowhere close to that and with the dry spell we're having, I'm not expecting much this year. It sounds like you had a perfect day.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
