the fields were lean

paved with the scent of rotting dreams

there were those who chased those dreams

feet becoming less sturdy on the unfamiliar terrain

as they propel along

 launching  themselves forward

I for one prefer to keep my dreams more fluid

and find the morning sunlight

almost jovial

  2. I must agree with keeping dreams more fluid as our desires change as much as them. The morning sunlight is always jovial and welcome too as you get older.

  5. I too, got caught up short with the rotting dreams. Then thought about it and saw the reality in the world around me. Fluid dreams are just as expressive in their own way and often become what gets us up and moving again,

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
