6 April
once i stuck my fingers
in the waterfalls of time
I can never forget the way the droplets of water
looked in that light
suspended in the air like tiny diamonds
in the waterfalls of time
I can never forget the way the droplets of water
looked in that light
suspended in the air like tiny diamonds
time is not a barrier
time is not a single unit
it zips back and forth
forming pleats
i feel your power shining
in the pockets of light
and because i am not tough
i travel there
and find you in the details
time is not a single unit
it zips back and forth
forming pleats
i feel your power shining
in the pockets of light
and because i am not tough
i travel there
and find you in the details
time
Lovely words, make me smile :-)
ReplyDeleteYour detail is like a diamond in a flowing waterfall!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of finding time in the details, especially when the details are diamond-like droplets.
ReplyDeleteYes, time definitely is not a single unit, but zips back and forth....and also doesn't always pass at the same pace. I love 'the waterfalls of time.'
ReplyDeleteLove your poem. Especially the lines:
ReplyDeleteonce i stuck my fingers
in the waterfalls of time
I can never forget the way the droplets of water
looked in that light
I hope you have a great weekend!
I liked the way this piece ended. I found myself turning the words, over and over. Lovely writing.
ReplyDeletesuspended in the air like tiny diamonds - Loved this poem and excellent line, time drops like diamonds, each second sparkling in the sun. Well done.
