23 february
as i came out of the wood i saw Joe and the boys walking towards me
in the softly falling snow
see, sea or C
it was in the mid-fifties yesterday
and very sunny
so we walked the beach
chair
natures symmetry
blanket
it has been a very cold winter.
even the dog hunkers under a blanket when she lays on the couch
giggle
we have just finished up February vacation week with the boys
we've been giggling for the past nine days
what a sweet sunday post and lovely photos-what a temperature contrast to Joe and the boys to the beach shot.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem funny to think that we could have a blizzard on Tuesday and mid-fifties and sunny on Saturday! That's New England
DeleteLove the 'blanket shot'....cute doggie image!!! And the seashell...awesome. But, for me tho, 50 degrees and walking on the beach would be a shade too cold yet, for me!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI suppose everything is relative Anni. Here 50 in February is heaven...and if it is sunny as well all is well with the world.
DeleteHope you enjoyed your vacation. Here too in our part od the world winter is slowly changing to summer.
ReplyDeletethere is a beautiful warmth in this...the sharing of life together....
ReplyDeletei would love to visit the ocean...what a contrast too..snow to ocean....
The boys look like they enjoyed their vacation. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots - the shell in the sand is gorgeous. A beautiful contrast between the beach and the snow scene, and all in the space of two days - amazing!
ReplyDeleteSome nice sunlit days shared, and the dog under the blanket is precious.
ReplyDeleteNothing like the giggling of happy children to bring a ray of sunlight to one's heart, for a sunny day, indeed!

Enjoying the soft editing of your photos. Our pets have been cuddling up in the blankets for a month now. Looking forward to spring when the couch can be blanket free.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, you could walk the beach! Oh how wonderful...
ReplyDeleteAnd your doggie, snuggling under a blanket, precious. :-)))))
Glad you had so much fun, with the vacation boy's "care"...
Tessa~
I love the contrast between the first two pics. I love the pic of your dog under a blanket. We have a dachsund who has mastered the trick of wrapping a throw around herself to make a little bundle.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine the boys and the giggle. For a whole week!
ReplyDeleteThere is such a start contrast between the snowy grey day and the sunny one on the beach. Such variety, each with its own beauty.
ReplyDeleteThe two boys (and their dog) must bring plenty of brightness to your days. Nine days of giggling sounds like a fine way to spend time together.
Thank you for bringing your images and laughter to Sunlit Sunday.
Karen
Simplistic beauty all the way. Especially, the walk. I envy those teaser moments of 40's and 50's in the middle of winter, although our heat wave, brought next the worst blizzard yet!
ReplyDeleteI love the sight of water! :-)
ReplyDeleteThose two boys are sunshine... no matter the weather conditions! Your photos are amazing and the contrast between the snow and the beach brings a smile. Giggles... oh my, from little ones are just the best! Smiles...Susan
ReplyDeleteThat shell shot is perfect for symmetry.
ReplyDeleteYou chose a great group of photos. I love the shell. The weather contrast sounds like Oklahoma temperature wise. I only remember one blizzard here, though. I miss the sound of giggling here in my empty nest.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely post...makes me smile :)
ReplyDeleteAll of these are great shots, but I love the first one in the snow!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful collection of glimpses of your week. I love the photo of your three men walking towards you.
ReplyDeleteYou have great shots in this post. I like the last photo the best.
ReplyDeleteLove the softness of snow ... Thanks for sharing at Our Beautiful World!
ReplyDeleteVery Nice photos
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post - wonderful photos of your favorite boys. The view of the beach is wonderful - so vibrantly blue. xo Karen
