9 January
in the darker months of winter
old books become as old friends
one settles in to tea with
not just printed words upon a page
but reminders of days past
old hands are young again as they work
and children snuggle smelling fresh from baths
stories of long ago and far way
ancestors encircle us as we sip
not just printed words upon a page
but reminders of days past
old hands are young again as they work
and children snuggle smelling fresh from baths
stories of long ago and far way
ancestors encircle us as we sip
love it!
