it's baaaaaack........

the polor vortex that is

hovering about 0 today and even colder tonight

~
i am still loving Downton Abbey

also, although I am somewhat loathe to admit it

I am looking forward to Grey's Anatomy to  start again in February

 ~
I used to love peanut butter and fluff sandwiches

-some people call it marshmallow creme-

on white bread

it was my nod to all things horrible and i only allowed myself one sandwich every year or so

i can't/won't eat them anymore

Grey's Anatomy is my "fluff" these days

~
it is a new semester in school and for the first time I am in a class with people who are young

younger than my own children

OMG  LOL  IDK how these professors do it every semester

~
i am taking a class that is new to the curriculum which is called

environmental sociology

i think I am going to enjoy it very much

the white stuff

  6. Don't be guilty of loving Downton Abbey. I do as well. And peanut butter. And pictures that illustrate simplicity. Nice work.

  7. the class does sound interesting. are you working towards a goal or just keeping your brain at work? in Brasil I took a linguistics course. that was very interesting - I was trying to learn why I wasn't learning Portuguese - I was told by a 'freind' that it was because Americans are lazy..... nope not the right answer.

  8. environmental sociology does sound interesting -- keep us informed. i never did get into peanut butter and fluff -- wonder why? it sounds good and messy. guess i'll stick with peanut butter and jelly (which i had at a rather formal reception recently). I'm behind on Downton Abbey, but up to date with Sherlock -- priorities!

  9. Yes -sigh- That polar vortex is after a lot of us again. And it will hang around, longer this time too.

"Environmental Sociology"... I look forward to you telling us, what this is about. Oh I suppose, we could look up those words. But it will be more interesting, hearing it from you. Because you will be enjoying it.

    Gentle hugs,
    Tessa~

  10. I need to watch Downton Abbey, I don't know what is taking me so long. My daughter is currently addicted to the fluffernutter. Best of luck with your classes!

  11. Your marshmallow fluff sandwich reminds me of my..... "Interesting" sandwich choice. For now and then... Way back...

Again white bread, 'cause it seems that was all we were using, way-back-then. Spread with Miracle Whip Mayo... And lots of sliced onion, with salt and pepper. Yishhhhhhhh....

How my stomach stood it, I don't know!

    Tessa~

  14. That's a beautiful winter scene. Yep, we are once again living in the vortex, I've got my Ugg boots on, and I'm inside! I remember going back to school when I was in my late 40's, everyone was younger than me, even the professors!

  15. The cold is back here, too, though it is supposed to get in the 20's today. Then back to single digits.

    Love that picture.

  16. A beautiful photo but so cold looking. Yes, I am so done with this polar vortex! My granddaughter has already missed 8 weather days ... and counting. But you're colder than I am so I'll stop whining.

  19. I'm sure that would be weird to be in a class with others who are younger than your own children! Good luck blending in!!

We don't have the cold temps, just really high winds...knocked our power out last night.

  22. Lovely shot! I can't comment on the tv stuff because we don't get US stuff here until it's quite dated.

  23. It has been brutal here in Chicagoland! I am curling up by the fire with magazines and my Kindle♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/window-stopping/

  24. Oh my goodness that looks cold! I don't have a tv so I'd have to huddle in front of the fire with a good book.

  27. Downton Abbey isn't doing it so much for me this year. I liked the previous years much better. I never got into Grey's Anatomy.
