morning sunlight on a table in the dining room

imagine if the authors of these books were really sitting about the table

eating cheeses and drinking wine and ale

i should like to share in dining room conversation

with Jane Austen, Rudyard Kipling and J.R.R. Tolkien

  3. I don't think I'd have much to say to these erudite people!

  4. That would be fabulous, if true! I think part of me is seeking this in real life.

  5. Oh that would be just wonderful! What splendid conversation. And beautiful photo. It makes my imagination work overtime. And that's a good thing. :)

  6. What an erudite group that would be! This time of year, it takes the little things: sunlight coming into the house to brighten dark corners.

  7. Now that would be 'good company'! I would love to listen in... xo Karen

  8. Now, wouldn't that be something! Can I come too, if I promise to sit quietly over by the wall?

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
