In family life, be completely present.
Lao Tzu
present
rush hour
In
dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep to the simple. In
conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don't try to control. In
work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present.

Perfect. B
ReplyDeleteWise man, Lao Tzu.
ReplyDeleteThe think that keeps me grounded - keeps me going - when I have to work away from home, is the steady stream of family news. Photos, texts, stories. We use technology to be present to one another in all the ordinary parts of the day. This is the first time I will miss St Nicholas morning, but I left little bags of goodies, special only to the recipients - everyone at home was responsible for one of my little bags, to fill the shoes of someone else. The texts and photos to come later today will be a treat.
merry christmas
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLao Tzu and your photo are a perfect match!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the rush of the people trying to get the trees out for the season. Fits perfectly.

Absolutely perfect...beautiful photo, the essence of rush hour, the spirit of the season, all rolled into one simple picture. Not only is the photo great but the harmonic thought process behind it is astounding to me.
