  1. Wise man, Lao Tzu.
The think that keeps me grounded - keeps me going - when I have to work away from home, is the steady stream of family news. Photos, texts, stories. We use technology to be present to one another in all the ordinary parts of the day. This is the first time I will miss St Nicholas morning, but I left little bags of goodies, special only to the recipients - everyone at home was responsible for one of my little bags, to fill the shoes of someone else. The texts and photos to come later today will be a treat.

  8. Absolutely perfect...beautiful photo, the essence of rush hour, the spirit of the season, all rolled into one simple picture. Not only is the photo great but the harmonic thought process behind it is astounding to me.
