filtering the pieces out

she rides the train south

it's not always easy to keep fierce

enough she cries out

 of the bitterness

and steps into the gusting of a warm spring day

  5. Such a beautiful choosing of words!

I am immersed in deep winter right now, so it is a wonderful thought
"the gusting of a warm spring day"

You create so beautiful poems, aspiritofsimplicity.

I do not know why, but somehow, this one brought to mind Emily Dickinson's "A route of evanescence".

    Thank you!

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
