The camping trip

 ~ ~ ~

Camping in New Hampshire with my family this weekend.

Both of my daughters, my son-in-law and my three grandchildren.

My husband had to work so he couldn't join us.

So. Much. Fun.

They are watching daddy in ducking under the water fall.

I love that my daughter and granddaughter both have the exact same smile!

My daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren left on Sunday afternoon but my eldest daughter and I stayed over Sunday night as well. It was quiet and peaceful and I don't get to see Hannah that often so I enjoyed our time together.

We a thunderstorm roll through on Friday evening. But the rest of the weekend was beautiful.
On Monday I woke to this beautiful sunrise. It began to rain a few hours later but Hannah and I had packed up most of our things the night before so it didn't take us very long to dismantle the tent and be on our way. It was nice to get home early in the morning and have a chance to unpack and do some laundry.

I took Tuesday off as well and it was so nice to have a day to relax at home.  It turned out to be a stormy, rainy, windy day which I loved.  I lit an apple candle, made a pot of lentil soup and dreamed about Autumn.

Friday fave fives

Friendship Friday

  1. I love all your faves and pics!! Your daughter Hannah looks just like you!!

It's cooler and no high heat and humidity here in eastern NY and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. it's my fave weather for hiking, going to the lake, sitting on the deck, etc. I love that our weather is finally my fave summer weather. I love Autumn too and have some funs things planned but i'm glad it's still Summer into mid Sept. ENJOY the weekend!!

  2. Lentil soup---yum!
Your camping trip sounds like it was just perfect. Love the sunrise!

  3. What fun! Would you believe I have never been camping. What a beautiful shot of you and your daughter! And the sunrise, WOW! It is double because of the water reflection.

  4. What a nice camping trip you had with your family. And a rainy day spent at home with a candle and soup sounds like my kind of day. So peaceful, and I've been patiently waiting for Fall as well. That sunrise is something else.

  5. Glad you had such a fun camping trip.

  6. Sounds like you all had a great time. What a treasure.
    Visiting today from FF#72&73.
