Your great puffs of flowers

I have been going to my grandson, Verne's, T-ball games on Thursday evenings.

I was able to get this great picture of Verne and his dad, Dan.

I am so lucky to have such a devoted son-in-law!

 


I drive to her house after work and after a quick dinner we all walk to the town greene 

where the game is held. 



Verne's younger sisters, Abigail and Natalie, love to play on the grass during the short game.

Abby brought her own little ball and was throwing it up in the air as high as she could...

just watch out that it doesn't land on your own head!

I bought myself a new pair of prescription sunglasses!

I haven't had a new pair in about 10 years so it's a nice treat!





Lilacs are blooming all over town! 

It smells so lovely every time I open door or window!

    Lovely Faves this week. Loved those photos of the grands. Yes, you are blessed with a great son-in-law and so are his kids.

    oh my goodness!! Your grands have gotten so tall since last I was on here! Thank you for your nice comment on my blog. I pray you find peace to work in your garden again and treasure the memories you made with your precious mama.
    Love lilacs but I'm all of a sudden allergic to them in the last couple of years!
    How fun to see your grandson play ball.

    Fun times with the kids. I can smell the lilacs from here. This is a pretty photo of them. Just got back from So Cal, and the pink blossom trees are blooming everywhere!

  ~ ~ ~ Abby and Hopie go to the beach. On Saturday my granddaughter, Abigail, asked if she could come to her Hopie's house all by herself. Of course, I said I would love that! Her older brother, Verne, wanted to go to a friend's house and her younger sister, Natalie, is too young to be away from mum for an overnighter. So...it was me and Abigail for the weekend. She wanted to stay 2 nights! a basket from the farmer's market

  A basket from the farmer's market. When I was a child my mum always had a fruit basket on the kitchen table.  Fruit was always an option if we were hungry at any time during the day. I had the same when my children were young and I noticed while visiting my daughter last week that she had a basket of apples on her table for her children. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree... I tend to put a basket of vegetables on the table as well.  Root veggies mostly since they don't need to be refrigerated.  I think that they look beautiful and why should fruit have all the fun! My favourite part is that everything (even the basket) came from the local farmer's market. It's so important to support local farmers.  ~ ~ ~ A bit of reading material.  I've been collecting books again... I've almost finished Think Indigenous.  My daughter bought it as a gift for me but decided to read it first. She loved it so much it took her a bit to part with it. I am loving it as much as she did and have put it down almost all the way through  because I don't want it to be over.  Macro tex
