Friday

Saturday I went to an old fashioned firemen's muster with my grandchildren, daughter, and son-in-law.

It was great fun! The fire department of their town was there selling hamburgers and hotdogs!

Verne looks very handsome sitting on top of the hand tub pump.

There are several events each summer and each team creates a ribbon for each event.

Folks pin their ribbons to their shirts or shorts. Little Natalie opted for wearing nothing but her diaper as the temperatures were almost blistering hot so she is trying, unsuccessfully, to pin her ribbon on herself.

On Saturday night Verne, Abby and I had a sleepover in in my tent in the back yard!

When it got dark enough Verne and I watched the fireflies with our heads down by the screen doors!

Abigail fell asleep before the fireflies came out but she woke up early enough to do some coloring!

Natalie is still too little to sleep out in the tent but we found a spot where her blankets will fit

when she gets old enough.

For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain,

'move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Matthew 17:20

My daughter is always growing interesting things in her garden.

This year she grew mustard seeds.

We had "The Music Man" at work yesterday.

I work with toddlers and most of them have never attended a group event like that.

COVID

They had a blast! So. Much. Dancing!

I wish I could show you a video of how cute dancing toddlers are.

My husband's health continues to imrove!

He is back at work again and feeling healthier than he was before this whole thing started!

Thank God.

  1. For some reason, I do not remember Natalie. Is she Verne & Abigail's sister? She is so beautiful! And Verne is getting more and more handsome! I'm so glad to hear about your husband!

  2. So cute, little Natalie trying to pin the ribbon her tummy. She does look comfortable. Being little does have its advantages in the heat. I remember watching fireflies when I was growing up but haven't seen any in a very long time. the Great Smoky Mountains Nat'l Park as an event very year to see the fireflies. I should go some year.
