The peace of the season

Walking the neighborhood of an afternoon I happened to come upon these folks hanging a giant peace wreath on their State street home. There were two in the upstairs windows, two holding the ropes on the sidewalk, and two across the street making sure that everything was straight.

I could smell the pine boughs from where I walked underneath.

And when I walked by the next day it looked beautiful!

The perfect accompaniment for the season.
