Family Friday

One of my favourite students and I are pretty cool at the playground.

I will be 57 in less than a month. I’ve been letting my hair go grey

and I got it cut a month or so ago.

I don’t know why we are always chasing youth.

It’s not as if we have a chance of catching it.

I’m happy to enjoy where I am and count my blessings

at having made it here.

My step-son, Jack, has moved in with us.

I’m not sure I’m ready for this...

I’ve done it before...

There’s always an adventure.

My sister will be starting radiation again next week. It will be another 5 mega-doses.

They found another spot on the other side of her iliac joint.

Afterward she will have to go through chemo again.

This is a favourite picture of all of us.

We were enjoying the company of one another.

My mum didn’t want to take her apron off for a picture

So I took out my collection and we all wore aprons!

Wednesday it was warm enough for meditation and morning prayers at Fort Sewell

It felt so nice to have the warm sun and the ocean breeze on my face.

It’s cooled down since then...and there was a wee gale wind...

But I have faith that spring will soon be here.

  4. I will be 70! this week. My hair is blonde and just beginning to turn white in small spots. I figure that if I've made it this long, I should celebrate it.

That is a very sweet picture of your family. Love the aprons!

    Stay well!

  5. I love that photo of your family--especially the aprons.

Your beach photos always make me want to jump in my car and drive to the beach.

I will turn 70! this week. My hair is blonde and beginning to turn white just at the temples. I figure that I have lived this long, I will celebrate it.

    Stay well!

  6. I love that pic of you guys in the aprons. You've shared it before I believe, haven't you? Saying a prayer for your sister.

  7. I thought of getting my hair colored when I started turning grey--really, when my natural blond turned into a mousy grey-brown. But I hate roots that are a different color, and I know that would bug me to death between coloring. You're right, we're never going to recapture our youth, and there are things I like about being older.

It's always an adjustment when someone new moves in. Hope everyone gets comfortable soon.

What a fun picture! I hope your sister's treatment takes care of the cancer. Love the bottom photo. It has turned cold again here with lots of rain, but thankfully not as much as forecast. Looking forward to spring.
