don't you forget about me

the random
My daughters and my late step-daughter, Ashley.
She died 3 years ago on 28 February.

the good
My daughter, Hannah, came over after work this week.
I don't get to see her very often.
We picked up some chicken fingers and french fries for dinner
because I got stuck in this
the fun...not
I take the T home from work in Boston.
Just as I was getting to the train station after work
they shut it down and evacuated due to a smoke condition.
I tried calling an Uber but they couldn't get through the maze of 15 fire trucks.
So....I normally get home around 4:30 but that day I didn't get home till 6:00!

Oh the T.....no line has it easy, but glad you got home!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for the loss of your step-daughter. She was a beautiful girl, as are your daughters. Chicken and French fries sounds like a great meal after getting home 90 minutes late!
ReplyDeleteWhat an ordeal to get home! Beautiful photos of family and those you remember fondly. Life has it's ups and downs, that's for sure! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies as you remember your late stepdaughter. The heart never forgets. So glad you could spend time with your daughter after a trying commute home.
ReplyDeleteI salute you for your perseverance and good humor!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about Ashley. So young and beautiful. What happened to her; is this why you stopped blogging on Cool Chick?
ReplyDeleteThe downside to public transportation, bummer. A visit from a favorite person, hurrah. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is beautiful! And that is one large cat … our two would never tolerate being held like that …. Sorry to hear about your step-daughter - it rarely gets easier with time … I am grateful that you joined Mosaic Monday this week - please come again!
