Then one of the elders spoke up and said to me,

"Who are these wearing white robes, and where did they come from?"

I said to him, "My Lord, you are the one who knows."

He said to me, "These are the ones who have survived great distress;

they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb."

Revelation 7:13-14

Sweet Sophia passed away on 1 November, 2018

all saints day.

She was 12 years old and had been fighting  DIGP brain tumor for 20 months.

  1. So young, so sorrowful. I will continue praying for her parents.

  2. What an amazing verse to read at a funeral. Every time I read the Revelation, I am stopped in my tracks by the imagery and the way it makes death seem like walking through a door into another world.

  3. So sad when someone so young passes away. She has seen the face of God, but her poor parents must miss her. I will keep them in my prayers.

  4. I can only imagine as parents that is the most heart rendering pain there is to ever have to bear. Lovely verse with the imagery of the sweet child now clothed in white and with God for eternity. Heartbreaking. Prayers for the peace that only God can give. :(

  5. We know the truth about heaven and eternal life, yet our loss is still immense and so painful. May God comfort you during this time.

  6. Glad there was comfort in that reading, and yet the loss is so heartbreaking. Lord, have mercy.
