a bowl full of oranges

This lovely bowl full of citrus reminds me that in some places

it is sunny and warm.

Here the winds rage outside my windows.

We are expecting 20 inches of snow, 65 mph wind gusts

and another historical high tide.

I think I will spend the day indoors eating oranges.

  1. 20 inches of snow is a lot but something about it sounds quite lovely. You're tucked away indoors enjoying a juicy bowl of oranges while looking out the window as the 65mph wind blows the snow. The worst part of snow is clean up. I love it when I'm snowed in.

Enjoy your snow - I must say, though, that I'm rooting for spring!

  4. Those oranges are very inviting. They do suggest nice warm sunny weather. It’s still super cold here in Virginia. I can’t wait for spring to come.

  5. Cool photo. Eating oranges on a blustery days sounds wonderful to me. We finally have rainy weather. I have two baskets full of lemons that I'll make into limoncello and maybe cookies or pudding. :-)

  8. We are blustery here tonight, but not expecting the amount you mention. I have a special affection for Oranges. As a child, that was not plentiful to a single mom with three kids so many times a neighbor would share one with me when least expected and they tasted so delicious. I love them fresh cut in a pitcher of iced tea in the Summer time. Wishing you warmer weather soon. :)

  12. Well, if you have to be stuck inside eating oranges that isn't so bad. My family is in Boston and they have so much snow right now it is nuts. Stay warm. We are eating them like crazy here at our house, but no snow in sight.
