16 June

I went to the Beacon Hill art walk with my friend from work.

There were so many different types of paintings and artists!

Art displays were set up in all the little crooked alleyways

and tiny courtyards that litter Beacon Hill, Boston.

I walk there often during my lunch break but during the art walk

many of the gated areas were open.

Both my friend and I love this house.

As we were admiring the artwork set up there

we looked upward to see a random rainbow

that sort of lit the sky for a moment or two and then was gone.

The weather has finally turned toward summer.

Last weekend had Dog beach filled with kite-surfers.

Joe and I watched one from the porch of a morning.

He had his dog with him and we could see the dog chasing him

in the water as he sailed across the water and into the sky.

After the art walk I stopped into

King James Church

They were having an evensong for Pentecost Sunday

The Choir was just beautiful

I finally broke down and went to the eye doctor.

I picked out a pair of everyday glasses and a pair of  RX sunglasses.

Such  a good decision on my part....I don't know why I waited so long.

  1. I finally bought RX sunglasses this spring--like you, I thought, "Why did I wait so long?"
The art walk sounds like a lot of fun. And catching that rainbow was lovely!
    Happy weekend to you!

  2. That art walk sounds like so much fun. And kite surfing does, too! Neat that you could see it from your porch. I can imagine the choir was lovely. I need to see the eye dr., too. I just found out recently that the new guy, that I just saw for the first time last year, is no longer there. One of the others was semi-retired - guess I need to see who is left!

  3. Spying a rainbow, even for a brief time, is always a treat.
Getting new glasses is another treat - as everything around me seems crisper and clearer. How fun that you got new specs.
Watching the kite surfer sounds marvelous. I've never seen that sport.
    Have a great weekend.
