Y is for...Year

I love you
Joe and I got married on 2 May, 2016.
At the Town Hall on this rather tiny sort of an island where we live.

still laughing
I walked the beach one summer's day while Joe and the boys climbed a cliff
They waved to me from the top
It looked like the YMCA song

winter wonderland
We didn't have a lot of snow in 2016
but we did have some beautiful sunsets

 my beautiful grandson, Verne
 born on 12 October, 2016

a Saturday afternoon in bean-town

I was inspired
I went to the In Bloom Conference
over the summer. It was held at the Antioch university campus
in Shelburne, Vermont, on the shores of Lake Champlain.
I was inspired to be a better teacher.
In March I started working at a new job
teaching toddlers at Bright Horizons at Beacon Hill.
I absolutely love it.

spring fever
I happened upon some toadstools growing
along the forest path
I stopped and made a fairy castle wonderland.

 travel or vacation
We went to a family reunion in June
and stayed in a great old air B & B.

summer days
We spent some time at the quarries again this summer.
This year even Joe jumped!

a day in my life
 28 February, 2016
My beautiful step-daughter, Ashley
passed away.

all smiles
Verne again!

autumn harvest
I walked Beacon Hill during my lunch break
every day during the Autumn this year.
It was so pretty.

family or home
In June this year we went to a family reunion.
There were about 135 people!

We've spent an awful lot of time
celebrating the birth of sweet baby Verne

let's do it again
I went to Shakespeare in the park
with my beautiful daughter, Hannah.
I want to make it a yearly tradition.

My daughter Hannah when we went to see King Lear.
She looked like she could have been one of the actors.

I picked out our Christmas tree
myself this year. I got exactly the one I wanted and it looked really pretty.

my favorites
Still my very favorites
My daughters, Hannah and Bonnie

don't ever change
Did I mention that Joe and I got married in May?
Our love for one another will never change.

just because
We got a cat at the end of September!

hopes and dreams
These past few years seem to have been filled with quite a bit of loss.
My hopes and dreams for 2017 is that it will be a year
filled with joy and peace.

  1. Wishing you and your family a very happy New Year. Great photos!

  2. Happy New Year! Hope you have a great year ahead.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
