26 August

the weather has cooled off a bit -

temperatures are in the lower 80
which is about 15 degrees
lower than they have been

and the humidity is about normal again.

Evenings are cooler and I've been having apples and cheeses

as a light dinner when I get home from work

The tansy is blooming in the fields. I love it's little yellow buttons

it looks so pretty next to the Queen Anne's Lace.

I went to the Salem Jazz and Soul Fest on Saturday with my mum and sister.

My brother is a co-founder of the event.

We ran into some cousins from my father's side of the family while we were there.

We hadn't seen them in years and years!

Sunday my eldest daughter and I went to Theatre in the Open

to see a very intimate production of King Lear

in the park.

I snapped a picture of my daughter while she wasn't looking.

She's so beautiful and smart.

  1. The photo of your daughter is so lovely! I adore tansy! Sounds like Autumn is headed your way soon!

  2. Oh, those temperatures sound wonderful. We've been in the 90s here.

I think King Lear might be my favorite Shakespeare play. How fun to see it in the park!

    Your daughter is lovely.

  3. Looks like a lot of fun to be had at the Jazz Festival. The little yellow flowers are soo pretty!

  4. Love apples and cheese. How fun to run into family you haven't seen in such a long time. And your daughter is lovely!

  5. You had a wonderful week! I love watching Shakespeare in the Park--we always go with our daughter when we visit her in the summer. And the jazz/soul fest! Yes!
    Beatuiful daughter!!

  6. I really like tansy. The photo of your daughter is beautiful!
Thank you for joining us at the Floral Friday Fotos meme, I look forward to your next contribution.
