6 November

We had my family over to celebrate my brother's birthday.

We made plans to carve pumpkins as well

since his birthday is just before Halloween.

It was wonderful to have everyone together as we don't often get to do that.

Thursday morning I met up with my very good friend Sue.

We don't see one another as often as we used to. I have moved about an hour away

and she is working a job where she frequently travels to the west coast.

We had some breakfast at a favorite diner in the town I used to live in

and we did a bit of shopping, mostly browsing.

~
The weather has been just beautiful. I know it won't be too much longer before it

turns so  we are enjoying it as much as we can while it lasts.

~
Joe and I have been walking the beach before he leaves for work

in the evenings.

We can see the Boston skyline from the beach.

I saved the best for last

Just before my family arrived, my daughter, Bonnie, told me she is expecting!

This little monkey will be the first grandchild on both sides.

I am so happy and excited and worried.....

June seems a very long ways off.

  3. Congratulations on expecting your first grandchild! We have one that is about 18 months old, and he is so much fun. He had a shaky start as a preemie born at 29 weeks, but you'd never know it to look at him now.

We enjoyed some pumpkin carving this week, too.Glad you were able to meet up with your friend! What a gorgeous sunset photo!
