16 October

the path through the wood

aka -the hundred acre wood

blackberry bushes are colouring out and will be dropping leaves by end of October

Michaelmas daisies are blooming along the edge of the path

the bittersweet berries haven't quite opened yet

and there is some type of reddish-orange berry interspersed

 brilliant dappled sunlight filters through

and everywhere, everywhere, moths are flitting

  3. I love hearing that asters are also called Michelmas daisies. For some reason, that name makes them all the more beautiful to me! What a beautiful time of year this is!

  6. Really beautiful autumn photos - I particularly loved the sun shining through the leaves of the bramble. It looks like you are having lovely weather - here it has turned cold and grey - fires will be lit tonight!

Wishing you a simply beautiful Friday ... and weekend!

  13. Lovely autumn pictures. I have those dainty little purple daisies in my planter and they are blooming like crazy! I'm not a big moth fan. Haven't seen hardly any this year here.
