Every August they put on a weekend long show
on the stage at Salem Willows in Massachusetts
They have great bands from all over the place come in
and the shows are all outside in a beautiful park on the Atlantic ocean
in beautiful and historic Salem, MA
The wonderful thing is that the shows are all free and open to the public!
The SJSF sells merchandise and there are all kinds of vendors as well.
All the money raised goes to the music education department in Salem.

Sunday evening we got together to tie-dye some SJSF t-shirts

It was absolutely a beautiful evening.
A sweet breeze coming off the ocean, a stunning sunset over the water,
and wonderful company!

Ah! That kind of dying. Is that even the way you spell the other kind? I probably should know at my age! We live in an area where the 60s are alive and well, so tie-dye is a common sight! And we like that about the place. And what a great festival your brother had started and great where the mproceeds go!
ReplyDeleteGiving back and having fun as well...because that sounds like grown up finger painting in a way...fun and creative and messy :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of fun!
