30 july

last night Joe and I packed up the lawn chairs

and drove on into town to check out the

Swampscott by the sea summer concert series

We listened to a great local bluegrass band,

sat next to a sweet older couple

and watched the little children run around and dance about all over

boys chasing girls - girls chasing boys

frisbee games, picnic dinners

and a small group of boys riding their bicycles around and around the park

all to a backdrop of the beautiful Atlantic ocean

It was killer-hot out

but the sun set and a bit of a sea breeze kicked in

as we turned to go home the full blue moon was rising over the beach

blessed by a beautiful evening
