relax

every Thanksgiving my mum likes to get

a picture of all her grandchildren around the turkey

we have some great pictures over the  years

now that they are all grown up

this year was a rare occurrence when they were all there

Here they all are relaxing before my mum starts telling them all

to smile and stand up straight

in my cup

for my hot cocoa....

morning light on a carnation

looking down

at daddy tying his skates

weather

we had the first snow storm of the season yesterday

when I walked the wood this morning

it seemed as if the light was dancing on each snowy branch

we are expecting a real doozy of a storm

Monday and Tuesday

they are calling for over 20 inches of snow

now, that is some weather...even for New England standards.

  1. Stay warm! Love your Mother's Thanksgiving tradition and love the "before" photo. Fun! Carnations are one of my favorite flowers. Mint and chocolate ... yum .. and a good cough medicine! ;) Cute hockey player. Happy Sunday. Peace.

  3. I saw earlier today that the East coast was in for a wallopalooza of a storm. Your snow scene is lovely. I often think the smaller snowfalls are prettier than the gargantuan ones. Be safe, be warm!

  4. I love your photos and sunlit perspectives. The one of the boy is sweetly backlit. Love the winter scene. We had 8 inches of snow last night and are expecting the next big storm the next day right after you. Blessings, Pam

  5. All really great, especially precious is looking down while his skates get tied. I like the family photos every year idea too. We do that every Christmas Eve.

  8. Love the traction of the gathering photo around the turkey and love the sneak peak photo before everyone become concerned in front of the camera. Thought the carnation shot particularly lovely. Stay warm in all that snow x
