You once told me  that I had no passions

 now I know

that my words hum with magic

While they swarm above the forest floor

And jump from low hanging branches

dancing in the twilight of what

you only dream of

I am a creature that thrives in the approaching  storm

You are without

you are without

you are without

  1. Outstanding ... I can so understand the feelings within this poem ... these are beautiful phrases ... love it.

  2. Caught me quickly with your opening line:
You once told me that I had no passions

I had heard that whispered before in hurt, to hurt, to defend, to deflect

but your words do hum and swarm and jump and dance.

    Very nice. Randy

  3. What is a relationship without passion? Clearly he hadn't read your poetry!

  4. You took the words right out of my mouth. xo Jenny

  5. Finding your passion is a magical thing...i love the end lines...powerful...not angry..

  6. This poem hums with magic. It's interesting that the ending is a negative statement, yet feels so affirming. Well done.

  7. Well, this sure is lovely. :)

  8. This was a powerful poem, full of self-giving strength. Most of us who create have at some point run into the person (or persons) who seeks to make us feel vulnerable about our gifts, however they're expressed. You captured the perfect comeback to that negativity and did it such a creative way with the words given. In short, I loved it!

By the way, thanks for the visit and the information about the writing below. My friend's child is better:~)

  9. Thrives in the approaching - wow!

  10. Love this! Especially the way you ended it.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
