I live in Massachusetts and grew up in a town, in fact once lived in a house, that was
built in the 1600s.
This is not the oldest building in town.
It is the Old Coast Guard Station.
It was build in 1898 and given to the town by the coast guard in the 1970s.
It is used for the American Legion and town events now. It is directly across the
street from our house. The first and third pictures of it are from our porch.

I love old buildings. One day Hubby and I are going to take a trip to all the New England states. We have seen pictures and it looks so pretty up there.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the link to my town shoot out, as well as your photos. You are living in a very lovely location too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful building ... they really built them to last in those days.

Love the first capture. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... Anything that old, and being loved and preserved, has to be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view you have - the coast guard building is wonderful! I grew up there, too - I miss it every day....So much historical beauty. Wishing you a lovely weekend. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteIt is a very simple unadorned building. I was empressed in Europe with the houses, they are built to last for centuries. I wish Americans would look on architecture differently, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely old building. I'd like to hear about that building you grew up in.
ReplyDeleteNeat shots of the historical building and sky and clouds ~ Happy Weekend to you ~ xxx
