she peered into the reflective pool

 stories  of her youth

bubbled up from beneath the murky water

long ago she had exiled those spirits

now she followed the piles of clues

to who she used to be

one

two

three

one mustn't be rash

when dealing with secrets

she had already clawed her way out of that cradle

so she grabbed the apple in her teeth

and took a big crispy bite

  1. Yum! I love the one, two, three, and the choice she makes to revisit youth's stories.

  3. Reading this was a delight - first I resonated with burying stories of her youth in murky water, and then the big crispy bite of apple made me smile.

  4. I always thought Eve had a rough deal. I am glad you didn't have her nibble at the apple tentatively. I loved the picture you painted.

She took them by the horns and solved her problems by herself. Many do this when they put their heart and soul to it. Nicely!
